HOW MUCH SLEEP DO I REALLY NEED?

Your body needs sleep to repair and recover. If you aren't getting the recommended amount of sleep, let's talk, I can help you to establish better sleep hygiene. It's estimated that 40% of Americans aren't getting the recommended amount of sleep.

Adults should aim to get 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. See the attached infographic.

If you're sleeping too much, that deserves attention too.

Contrary to popular belief, lying in bed is not going to help you recover from back pain. After the acute phase of injury in the first day or so, you should be getting back to your normal tasks as soon as possible before you get weaker.
